Jaka Škapin

Jaka Škapin


Jaka
is a Slovenian performer, composer and vocal improviser based in London. His music is marked by his choral background, jazz training and Slavic heritage, exploring the intersection of ancestry, embodiment, nature connection and musicianship. As a collaborative vocal improvisation and circlesinging facilitator he has recently taught in Slovenia and the US, and is one of the co-producers of the UK Vocal Improv Festival Retreat. As a performer, he has taken part in Rhiannon’s Murmuration Project, The Netherland’s IFNL Festival and TIN Festival as part of the Anthropos Quartet’s Germany tour.

Camille Pascal

Camille Pascal


Drawn by multiple musical explorations, Camille creates with voice, movement and words. She offers workshops in vocal improvisation, circlesinging and co-improvisation that are playful, technical and experiential. She has created a pedagogical system for practising circlesong that she shares in a one-year course, Immersion Circlesong, in France andBelgium. With her solo project DRIÄD she released “Good Moʊd” in 2023, an album of circular songs written to immerse oneself in the world of musical modes. She is currently working on a triptych intersecting song, poetry and storytelling.

Nicolas Mahnich

Nicolas Mahnich

Multi-instrumentalist, Sheng Zhen meditation et Feldenkrais Method Teacher, Nicolas is passionnated of vocal improvisation and uses it to create collective events which fosters joy, link, confidence, and develops rigor, precision and concentration. In his workshops, he explores the general ingredients of vocal improvisation as well as its harmonic, melodic and rhythmic components. His music is marked by a subtle quest for voluptuousness and depth. He also offers opportunities to explore clowning and presence.

Kate Smith

Kate Smith

Kate is a vocal acrobat, composer and workshop leader with a mission to foster creative community wherever she goes through embodiment, play, and improvisation! As the creator of The Embodied Voice, Kate’s practice is informed and inspired by a range of movement modalities, including Feldenkrais and yoga.. She released her debut album/immersive performance ‘Songs from the Body’ in 2023, and teaches voice, movement, and improvisation workshops regularly in the UK and Portugal. Kate can often be found improvising with Anthropos, Oöm, and ar|ra, and is a co-founder of the UK Vocal Improv Festival Retreat.

Guillermo Rozenthuler

Guillermo Rozenthuler


Born in Argentina and based in the UK, Guillermo has been sharing his love for collaborative vocal improvisation and circlesinging around the world for the last decade. In 2019 he inspired Anthropos: Songs of Humanity, an a cappella improvisation ensemble reimagining ancestral musical practices. G believes in every human’s innate musicality and potential to be a part of meaningful musical interactions. He’s interested in the relationship between spontaneous singing, the wellbeing of the collective and individual body, deep listening and connection.

Ananda Montange

Ananda Montange


A singer, dancer and tightrope walker, Ananda has been working in the performance arts for some twenty years. Fascinated by improvisation and instant composition, she has experimented with these practices, which form an essential part of her research, both solo and with the FIRE! collective.
Since meeting Bobby McFerrin in 2019, she has been offering Circlesongs workshops nourished by her multidisciplinary background, all artistic practices being for her a source of inspiration for improvisation.
